Seattle Goodwill is Reaching Out to the Community on Facebook

Seattle Goodwill has long been considered to be one of the most progressive and forward looking of all the Goodwill charities. In a new move it has been using Facebook to reach out to the community in new ways. Since 2008 they've been logging on to facebook to keep their supporters aprised of their events and programs across Seattle.

The Facebook account for Seattle Goodwill also features photo galleries, including a lot of great shots from their recent Glitter Gala Fashion Show in 2008 and some great pictures from various Vintage Fashion Shows. This is a good way to show people what Seattle Goodwill is all bout, and hopefully to encourage people to join in.

The pictures should also remind you of how important your donations are. Goodwill Industries relies on donations from the public in order to continue their work. From small donations (clothes) to the medium (dressers) to the large (vehicle donations), every little bit helps. These donations will be used to fund job training programs to help people to get back on their feet and to change their lives for the better.

It's good to see Seattle Goodwill reaching out to the community in new ways. By using the methods more and more people use to keep in touch, they can continue to do what they do best. At present there it is not known whether Seattle Goodwill will be getting a MySpace page, but it remains a possibility.

If you have been considering making a donation, you might want to consider a vehicle donation. This is a good way to get rid of a used car without the hassle of selling it. Plus, you will be entitled to a tax break based on the value of the vehicle. When you donate your car to Goodwill Seattle, it will most likely be auctioned off to raise money for the charity's various programs and events.

Looking to make a big positive impact on your local community? Consider vehicle donation as a means. The process of donating your vehicle is made easy when you follow the instructions at
